Music49 was founded in 2003 with the goal of becoming the premiere source of music lessons in the University area.  We have a dedicated staff of qualified music instructors and a great environment located in the Shops at Davis Lake. Music49 teaches lessons on:

Play in your school band?  Music49 now rents band instruments!  With a complete inventory of instruments, we can help out with rentals AND repairs.

Unlike many other area music stores, Music49 boasts in own Luthier.  Co-Founder Jason Pickard, with a Masters in Classical Guitar, builds his own custom classical guitars on-site.  Students can benefit with a range of extra services from setting up the action on the guitar, to completely repairing broken instruments.
