Brian Burton graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in professional music in 2001 (emphasis in performance, education, and music synthesis). He studied with Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs), Dave DiCenso, Bob Moses (Pat Metheney, Jaco Pastorius, Gary Burton), and Kenwood Dennard (Sting, Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis) among others. He was Head of Percussion Instruction at RIT Music in Grand Rapids, MI and Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Grace Bible College. He has performed with Cast Iron Filter, The Jon Finn Group, Furious Jones, Hipshack, Jah Kings, Nick Washburn, The American Repertory Theatre (“The Idiots Karamazov”), and at Berklee with the Jimi Hendrix Ensemble, “Tommy”, and the Performer/Songwriter Showcase
